The way things are

After my bitch-fest yesterday, I have begun to feel better. Possibly it is because I woke up at 10 and brought my computer downstairs before the rest of the house was officially awake... Maybe it is because I redid the layout of this blog (which is an altered layout) and I love how it came out.

I have noticed something... depending on how something is done/viewed it will have a different physical reaction. Allow me to cite some examples. Today I had some balsamic glazed steamed veggies. Normally I love these, today something seemed off and I couldn't figure it out. It was the way I was eating them! Today I stabbed them instead of scooping. Did that really make a difference? Oh yes, I dont know how, but they weren't tasty when I jabbed my fork into them, but when I scooped them up it was so delicious! I wonder why?
Another example is a song I love called Koyoi Tsuki ga miezutomo. I like this song regardless of where I listen to it, I have tried MP3 player, my large computer, my car and my laptop... but when ever I listen to it on my laptop (via headphones) it sounds so much better. So much more, it puts me into a saturnalia trance. Mostly its when he sings "Koyoi, tsuki wa doko o terasu no" and "Koyoi tsuki ga mienai naraba " which means somthing like "Tonight, where does the moon shine on? From the sky covered in thick clouds" and "Tonight, if you can't see the moon, then let's wait earnestly for the breaks in the clouds". Although its not the lyrics but how they are sung. Mmm... yeh...
Ahem... anyways. I'm taking a break from my picture for now (because something crazy happened that had me worried something was wrong with my file. But I'm posting a part 2 of whats going on.  Its more like a tutorial on how to make the flame look from before.

This image is large!  It runs 3782 x 2745 in canvas size and takes up 29.5 mb (and this is with only part of the bird colored!)  Insane, honestly!  Looking now I think I may change his beak color.  Maybe...    Now I spent about 7 hours on it before and today I spent 7 MORE hours on it today...  like so far it is 14 hours in and its not complete yet.  I must say this is the longest I've spent on a picture to only be THIS far along....  mostly 8 hours finishes a picture....  Here is my current progress:
