because im bored

I spent today cleaning the downstairs  than I worked on my outfit.  I found it is slowly but surely moving along.  Today I got the front of the sleeves done and a design on the shoulder.  My goal is to have back of the sleeves and jacket done.  Maybe get the side designs cut out.  I realized that the green I picked wasn't the best choice but at least it gives it texture.  I'm slightly disappointed in how the white hemming tape outlined the designs.  

I noticed in all images of Kusurui-uri there was no design, but one picture, I think it was a promo ad, there was this neat design on his shoulder with sakura flowers... so I semi recreated it.  Take a peek.

It is kinda cute, and a bit hard to draw.  I had to use a paintbrush with fabric paint that had an attitude!  

I have ordered my wig, I want to get my ears soon.  After that its down to the geta, tabi, box, sword and I think i may want to redo the obi...  The print works but its rather small and I want something larger.  I've also re threaded my red beaded necklace to hold the mirror on the end.  Or else it falls weird on my chest because of what little boobies I have.

I've given myself a 200 dollar budget for the whole costume.  So far I spent about 50 on fabric, 15 on the wig, I had the teeth, 15 on jewelry and makeup.  I am going to try to make the box out of cardboard (so its free) it will mostly cost for the handles and robe.  Although the  ears alone will cost about 50 bucks.  Yikes!  Oh well!

I was bored... I took a picture of me... I'm a dead Kusuri (with dark hair).  This is a most fun outfit, but the obi makes it hard to sit... god dammit!
