Today

Well I don't have a 4-koma to post, I just wanted to say whats up.

Well good or bad I have a change-in-seasons cold, and it seems to be moving fast enough through my system. It also means Yay today is Spring. What a mighty nice spring day too.

I'm also trying to loose weight. What else is new, but I'm starting to make a little headway.. very little. The start of the year I weight XXX pounds. (I'm not saying the exact).

I've decided to set little goals for myself. So if I hit a goal, Yay! and if it takes a little while, no biggy. It's hard when you put like "I want to be 150 less" that is just a crazy goal and could seem like it would take forever, so little goals is my way. Here are my 9 little goals to a big change

  • 1st goal was to be -10lbs. First goal accomplished! 3/17/10
  • 2nd goal is to be 100 more than Rei (shes the smallest of my friends)
  • 3rd goal is to be the lowest I've been in 6 years. (8lbs less goal 2)
  • 4th goal is to be 100 less than Sky at her largest.( 10lbs less than goal 3)
  • 5th goal is to weigh the same as Kit does now (15lbs less than goal 4)
  • 6th goal is just 25lbs less than goal 5.
  • 7th goal is weigh the same as when I left school. (25 lbs less than goal 6)
  • 8th goal is to be Rei's current weight. (20lbs less than goal 7)
  • 9th goal is to be my desired weight. (15lbs less than goal 8)
Rei, Sky and Kit's weight are to the best of my knowledge when they last told me. I'm uses these as numbers now and not their current weight because some of them are trying to loose weight too.

Also 5th goal is a big point. That would make me about 65 pounds less than my most I've ever been! I'm thinking if I reached the 7th or 8th goal I'd be pleased as punch but 9th is my unrealistic goal... but what the hey. Who knows right?

I'm hoping next week after work on Saturday to make a pit stop at the farmers market to see if they have any honey and strawberries. I've been craving fresh, ripe strawberries and I just keep finding the tart greehouse ones in the supermart. :( Boo!

Really creepy house in woods

So after much time away from the blog, I felt, WTH, might as well. Today Rei and I went on a walk around town. We ended up at this old, abandoned house, in the woods, that had been there for decades. I was a wee little thing when I first went inside, it was pretty much how I remembered it.

For the most part the building is run down, the windows are smashed out, it is covered in briar's, graffiti decorates the inner walls and the air from the door blows out a musky, wet smell. The doors of the house are broken in and the floor looks un-sturdy. Under the outside stairs there is another door to access the basement. Rei and I didn't go inside, but there was an order of death emitting from it. Something that had died a while ago, but I didn't see any dead animals or anything. I did take a few pictures inside.

This is the basement on the right. I must say the basement was nearly pitch black and until the picture flashed. The stairs in this picture leads upstairs also.

This is the left side, not much to see, mostly dusty, water rotted wood, broken down. Now what really bugged me was when I tried to take a picture of the middle of the room it came out black.

That is the best I could do to lighten the picture. I took a few of them, but the flash refused to go off when snapping them, and shortly after the battery of my camera went dead. It was rather freaky. You have to realize, my flash had gone off for every picture, even in the woods, and it stopped now, the battery died of the camera, a smell of death emitted from this room, and somewhere in the woods there was some odd noises that, to say the least, scared me.

Anyways, I doubt I'll be going there sometime soon, it looked like a perfect setting to a horror movie.

surgery

So I had my surgery yesterday... well lets start with the day before. On Wednesday I was terrified and practically crying because I feared this surgery. It is rather childish of me because I have had this type of surgery before when my appendix was removed last year. Never the less I was scared. Luckily for me I have some great friends. One of my internet buddies helped me feel better and he reasured me I was in good hands. So I wasnt so scared.

The day of my surgery, which was six am, Kit brought me and stayed with me until I went into the O.R. I must say she is a good person for hanging with me even though she must've been tired as all hell. Even after the surgery she was there. She helped me change and didnt even run when I got sick all over the floor. Ew.

The medicine they gave me makes me oober tired and somewhat throw-uppy. I honestly dont like it. Day 1 I was in such horrible pain I thought it was cruel of them to send me home. I could only take apain pill ever four hours. The first hour I slept and the rest were mild to moderate pain until the next one. Luckily I only got sick one other time durning the night.

Today is Day 2 and although i'm still in pain, its not as bad as yesterday. I'm tired still but not sick. I'm practically mastered getting out of bed with no pain, getting in it is another story.

Mer! I just want this over with, and I'm so... SO glad it was after Otakon. It would've sucked major monkey balls if it was before and I coudlnt enjoy it.

Well I want to thank Kit for bringing me and being such an awesome person. Sky for calling me and talking with me some and my internet friend for reassuring me before surgery. :D Thanks guys! you are great

otakon09 packing

Just mear hours before leaving to head to Otakon and packing needs to be done. Talk about waiting nearly last minute, right?

Most of my week has been hectic and I've been collecting everything together but not actually organizing it.

So I laid everything out upon my bed that needs to come with me.

This includes my Kusuri Uri outfit, my Okita outfit, regular clothes, nigh clothes, minor entertainment (cards, mp3, sketchbook), night wear, geta and sandals and tolietries.

I had to make a check list tomake sure I had everything
and so I dont forget anything when I'm leaving the hotel.

Needless to say somehow all this needed to fit into that one box in the corner. The car I am going in is rather limited in trunk space and I must allow others to have their stuff in there too.

All my time and years of tetris allowed me to pack most of this within the box itself. My awesome skills show themselves with that. The box itself is about to explode, but bah! It will be fine!

I actually don't have part of an outfit packed in there because I'm wearing down to the convention. I've always found it fun to take car rides to conventions in cosplay. Not only is it fun to scare the normies but you are always pointed and targeted by other otakus. Everyyear I have done this, and usually once on the way down (and on the way back) someone will be like "OMG HAY! OTAKON ROX!" And girly screams and nyahs and random japanese otaku words... you get the idea. :D

I have also made more of my tailismans!
I will be pasting them around the convention with a shameless plug back to my blog. lol!
Well that is all for now--hopefully I'll be back with lots of pictures and merchandise!

My dolly

I finally took my Daisuke, a limited edition Volks Dollfie, down for a cleaning. And I took pictures. :D

So that is my doll laid out with all of his clothes. He was very dusty. Sadly my house puts a layer on dust on everything that enters so I needed to clean off a few other figures on my shelf as well.

Here he is posing. :3

And this one came out cute but looks like a webcam picture! I'm still debating if I want to bring him to Otakon or not. I do know I need to get some moleskin for his head. I'm also thinking of getting him a new wig (after I get a job n catch up on my bills)

Dats all for now!

Otakon

Well I will be at Otakon with Sky, Kit and Rei. Here's hoping it will be fun. Sadly I wont be able to go to Connecticon. :(

Anyways I found out Naomi Tamura is going to be there. For those of you who don't know who that is check this out. (I am thinking Kit will be pleased with this!

I can't say I'm pleased or excited about any of the guests so far. I am hoping there will be some Mangaka or something. :P

Hey

I just wanted to post I'm feeling better. I spent last night talking with a friend about P&G and some how it made me feel better... or distracted enough to not care. (For those of you who don't know what P&G is got to youtube and watch Bleach the Abridged)

So I found out that Viz is going to finally release the Mushishi live action movie some time. I don't know when but here is a screen cap from it. My issue is that I have waited and waited for it until I bought a subbed from over seas (not the best I say) but it works.

Here is a screenshot of Tanyu, I just love her character. She seems to be a nice match for Ginko (a bit young) but none the less. I think this actress is beautiful! I'm so jealous. Also the man who plays Ginko is rather attractive... he would be handsome if he shaved, damn him! Over all the movie is ... alright. I'm very critical when I watch movies and I tried to shut down and not think when watching it. XD When I do that I liked it.

Anyways, just a stupid update!

Job interviews...what fun!

So within a week I have two interviews for two different jobs. The first happens to be a phone interview foe Hallmark... and I must say it was a very intense interview! It was worse than the appeal process for unemployment! There was alot of third degreeing and asking me how I handled situations that never occurred. I told him such, but he insisted I answer it anyways... It is a stupid job that works in the morning for like 10 hours a week... at 9 an hour... yeh... I don't know how this will work out... I would have to call out for my convention days! LMAO!

Anyways, my next one is tomorrow, I think at one, I don't honestly remember so I'm going to wing it!

Oh and guess what... MY MUSHISHI V. 7 ARRIVED TODAY
Y!!! I was dancing around the FedEx guy! I think he thinks I'm insane but I was happy! Yays!

Now on to something stupid. I'm half working on a story for a cont
est and I've been changing which story I was going to do for ever. I'm still not 100%... I'm not even 30% sure I'll do this one... but I'm designing a few characters from my friends, such as Sky. I'm half tempted to add Kit, although, I haven't found a use for THAT character yet... and Rei. Which doesn't act or look like Rei... but just a smidge! lol!

I will show you character designs soon (to be updated soon)

This one is Sora, loosely based off of Sky (hence the name). Her tennis racket is a magic wand! lol (not really) This was good boobie practice! Hahaha!

This is my character off of Rei... she doesn't have a name yet

The one on the left is the main guy (nameless) and the one on the right is his rival.

Also I had my other interview, it was stupid and more like an orientation. bah!
